Why Convert Warrant to Mother ?
Someone ask me why this company keep converting the warrant into mother shares without any obvious financial benefit ?
I asked back - what do you think ?
He asked - could it be because the warrant no good ?
I said - if not good, why not sell instead of converting ?
He said - maybe the mother is better ?
I ask - in what way ? A 15 sen warrant with converting price of 12 sen and the mother is selling at 27 sen ?
He said - or maybe the mother share is not good ?
I said - then why convert ? Just sell the warrant lar.
He replied - I give up.
I said - what mother share have but warrant don't have.
He keep thinking ...
I answered - mother share got dividend and voting rights.
He then asked - so, he want the dividend and / or voting rights ... right ? But ... why ?
I said - Why ... why ? U don't want dividend meh ?
He said - if the company declare big dividend ... the warrant will go up too. And can earn much more.
I said - if the mother share go up then the warrant may follow. The reason may not be one of the 2 reason ... but actually because of the company want both ... dividend and voting rights.
He said - but WHY ?
I said - beat me. How do i know. I am not the company director mar. U go call up and ask him directly lor.

One in A Million Risk ... will u DARE ?
If u are given a gun which has 1 million chambers
with 1 bullet randomly put into one of the chambers.
If U are willing to pull the trigger once on your head,
if u still alive ... u get rm 100 million.
Chances u kena is 1 over a million
In simple word the probability u dead is 0.00000
Where as chances to get rm 100 million is 99.99999 %
Will U take the chance ?
Very tempting right ?
I'm sure many will be willing to take this chance.
Is it because they think their lives could not be worth rm 100 million ?
How to calculate this risk ?

Police release photograph of suspect in Najadi's murder
KUALA LUMPUR: City police have identified the main suspect behind the brutal murder of banker Hussain Ahmad Najadi.
Kuala Lumpur CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Ku Chin Wah said the man, known as Sei Ngan Chai (which in Cantonese means "four-eyed guy") was still believed to be in the city.
comments : He has been identified. Who hire him ? Sure now he will ask for more money or else he will expose. And the who one who hire him will hire new hitman to hit this fellow. Does he has any evidence hid somewhere or with someone in case the fellow hire him plan to hire someone to hit him ? But what if he hire someone to force him to give out the evidence before hitting him ? Or how about the 2nd hitman decided to join the the first hitman to squeeze more money from the fellow who hire them ? Good plot for new movie ? I think I have watched these many times already.

No turning back to agro-base economy, says Dr M
Friday December 17, 2010
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia should not go back to an agriculture-based economy
because the country would not be able to achieve the economic growth that the
Government desires and overcome unemployment, said former prime minister
Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
“Sometime ago, the Government decided to focus on agriculture. However, we
have rejected agriculture because it was not able to solve the problem of
unemployment,” he said at a dialogue session on Vision 2020: Malaysia’s Looking
East concept here yesterday.
“We can still give attention to agriculture because it is making advances in terms
of technology and we cannot neglect that. But to depend entirely on agriculture
will not be productive.”
For example, he said, one acre (or 0.4ha) of land could not produce enough food
even for one family.
“However, if we build a factory on that one acre of land, then a factory can be
set up and create jobs for 500 people,” he said.
He said that even with modern agriculture, the Government would still not be able
to create enough jobs for the people.
“That is why we have switched to industrial-based economy but to do that,
we must equip our people with necessary knowledge and skills,” he said.
He said Malaysians were not inferior but instead would be able to perform like
their counterparts in Europe and Japan if they were given necessary training.
Dr Mahathir also urged the country not to rely on foreign direct investment (FDI)
for economic growth.
“Japan and South Korea did not depend on FDI but they got the technology from
other developed countries and worked with their own capacity to maximise the return
of their companies,” he said.
He said Malaysian companies now had the capacity, capital and management
to “grow big” by acquiring foreign technology.

When Stock Prices Drop, Where's the Money?

When Stock Prices Drop, Where's the Money?

Have you ever wondered what happened to your socks when you put them into the dryer and then never saw them again? It's an unexplained mystery that may never have an answer. Many people feel the same way when they suddenly find that their brokerage account balance has taken a nosedive. So, where did that money go? Fortunately, money that is gained or lost on a stock doesn't just disappear. Read to find out what happens to it and what causes it.
Disappearing Money
Before we get to how money disappears, it is important to understand that regardless of whether the market is in bull (appreciating) or bear (depreciating) mode, supply and demand drive the price of stocks, and fluctuations in stock prices determine whether you make money or lose it.
So, if you purchase a stock for $10 and then sell it for only $5, you will (obviously) lose $5. It may feel like that money must go to someone else, but that isn't exactly true. It doesn't go to the person who buys the stock from you. The company that issued the stock doesn't get it either. The brokerage is also left empty-handed, as you only paid it to make the transaction on your behalf. So the question remains: where did the money go?

This is an example of simple things are perceived wrongly or at least i will csaid "mal-represented." The answer or explanation lies firstly by re-correcting the "mal-representation," or simply re-stated the whole perception from the beginning.
When I bought a "second-hand" car from someone (similar as stocks which are traded thru secondary market), I will pay a certain amount for eg. RM 20,000 to Abu. Now, i am less RM 20,000 in my bank or just let presume my bank balance left zero after witdrew to pay Abu, in exchange for the ownership of the "CAR."
If another car of the same type is transacted at RM 15,000, let's say in between Ah Chong and Ramasamy, could we safely presumed my car has depreciated by RM 5,000 ?
If another car of the same type is transacted at RM 25,000 again between others buyer and seller, could I say, "WHOA ! I just made RM 5,000 !" ?
Funny right ? Of course by now, someone will try to educate me about the so-call "paper" loss or gain.
Now, let's say I sell-off my Car at RM 15,000 to Jay. Therefore Jay will have "less RM 15,000" by owning the car, Abu (the one who sold the car to me at the first place) still holding RM 20,000 but with no car and, I will have RM 15,000 and car-less as well.

Let's rephrase whole scenario using a table
Previously,
Abu got 1 car / RM 0 cash
I.. got 0 car / RM 20,000 cash
Jay got 0 car / RM 15,000 cash
_______________________________
total...1 car / RM 35,000 cash
Later
Abu got 0 car / RM 20,000 cash
I.. got 1 car / RM 0 cash
Jay got 0 car / RM 15,000 cash
________________________________
total...1 car / RM 35,000 cash
Now
Abu got 0 car / RM 20,000 cash
I.. got 0 car / RM 15,000 cash
Jay got 1 car / RM 0 cash
________________________________
total...1 car / RM 35,000 cash
The car and the cash are just shifting between the 3 of us.
The total cash remain the same at RM 35,000.
I have less RM 5,000 but could we said Abu had earned RM 5,000 from me ?
There is no FINAL answer until we truly figure out the true value of the car.
What if Jay found RM 100,000 cash inside the car drawer ? Obviously, both,Abu and I just missed or actually LOSS the RM 100,000 to Jay !
What if the car totally "unrepairable" broke down forever, just 1 day after Jay bought it ? Wow ! Now I just earn RM 15,000 evernthough i have less RM 5,000 from my initial RM 20,000 bank balance ?
The moral will come back the same. Transacted price tell us not much. Sooner or later, it is the "true" value of the car that determined who make or who lose what.

Psychology
.
The problem with trying to understand people, though, is that people are complex, and change all the time. We learn from our experiences, we form good intentions, and we are acted on by circumstances. So what we do can be influenced by a great many different factors. Also, everyone has their own ideas and opinions about what people are really like. These ideas can influenced what we do and also how we interpret what other people are doing. And since we each have had different lives, and have learned from our experiences, these ideas can be very different from one person to the next.

Hobby & Side Effect
*
Every evening, I always go to padang kompleks sukan for a brisk walk. There, I saw a lot of people jog as well. Some even jogs 10 rounds everyday. And they are not young people, but 40, 50 & 60 years OLD. I said "GILA" . Instead of jog 10 rounds, couldn't it be better if they stay at home and tanam sayur instead. Body also healthy and no need to spend money to buy sayur. Maybe they have other reason to jog 10 'gila' round. Probably they plan to join Olympic , or Sea Games , or some sort of Marathon ... I ask them. They simply answer they just LOVE & ENJOY jogging 10 'gila' round. I said ... aaaaa I see. But actually I don't really see. If they are doing it for fun, why the heck they doing it so SERIOUSLY. Maybe some may think since they are old, and doing it for fun (but yet so hard), you might think you could out-run them anytimes ... but oh ... how wrong you are, because, on the contrary, they really run so fast, non-stop, pumping muscle with each strike, blazing the heat , cutting through the wind ... and believe it or not, they could qualified to enter Olympic games anytimes. And they are doing all this, knowing at the finish line there will be no gold medal, no cheques and no spectator to celebrate them.
Same like someone I know, who loves to read company Annual Report, analysing quarterly financial statement, studying the business, management, and economies, calculate the math problem ... one by one by one .... and day after day after day. Sure this 'someone' doing this 'gila' task, because s/he wants to make a LOT of MONEY in share market right ? And as surprised as you may not, s/he doing it because s/he LOVE & ENJOY them .... meaning s/he does not make money from it ? Kah kah kah ... as far as I know, s/he makes tons of money. The only thing is that 'making money' is not the objective, but just a 'side effect' of her/his hobby. This is definitely one kind of side effect that everyone wish to have, of course minus the hobby please !!

Zhulian & Analabs
Let's compare for fun ...
Zhulian
Cash after Total Liabilities RM 0.13
Current asset include liquid security at market value after Total Liabilities RM 0.43
Current Share price RM 1.16
Analabs
Cash after Total Liabilities RM 0.26
Current asset include liquid security at market value after Total Liabilites RM 0.89
Current Share price RM 0.86
By Balance sheet comparison, it is obvious Analabs is more actractive than Zhulian.
How about earning. This is a little more tricky.
Analabs projected EPS will be at 18 sen per share.
Therefore it will be trading at PE of 4.8
For Zhulian to trade at PE 4.8 , its earning should be at 24 sen per share.
And even if Zhulian able to earn 24 sen per share, its balance sheet is still far less value compare to Analabs.
So, for Zhulian to be at par with Analabs value, either Zhulian must be able to earn more than 24 sen per share or Zhulian should trade at LOWER SHARE PRICE.
Zhulian

Current asset include liquid security at market value after Total Liabilities RM 0.43

Stock Selection ~ compare, compare, compare...
Dear Ringgityen,
As we know when come to selecting which stock to invest, one thing that we need to do, is comparing one stock with another. Why stock A, and why not stock B or stock C ? One obvious answer is because stock A appears more actractive COMPARE with stock B or C.
B and C may have a very good earning, very high net cash, and no debt ..... but COMPARING to stock A which have BETTER earning, HIGHER net cash and no debt, will make stock A more Attractive.
Another situtation could be the price comparison.
B & C might have a better or higher earning and net assets .... but their current trading price is too HIGH compare to price of stock A, and this will make stock A more Attractive again.
And as you raise it, the short history of earning (eg. newly listed stock or less than 5 years), will make the future projection of its earning more difficult and usually resulted in higher probability of error. So, to avoid wasting my time analysing something which will resulted in high probability of error projection, I will just skip this newly listed or young stock.

Share Price ~ Demand and Supply ... where got such thing ?
People asks why share price go up ?
People asks why share price go down ?
People answers because of Demand and Supply.
I say where got such thing ?
If there is Buyer queeing in 10,000,000 shares at RM 1.00
and there is Seller queeing in only 100 shares to sell at RM 2.00
... will the price start to go up to RM 2.00 ?
The answer is NO !
There is no such thing as share price going up or going down.
It is just whether the price is transacted at higher or lower price.
What is the different ? Big different wooo .....
